How To Join The TTCA

Thank you for your interest in membership in the Tibetan Terrier Club of America, Inc.

TTCA members receive the TT Times, the official publication of the TTCA with information on official club business, activities and other matters. The newsletter is delivered  several  times a year by email. Members also receive the annual Journal and Yearbook, a publication featuring the year’s new AKC titleholders, and loaded with club information, pictures and articles.

Membership Categories

Associate: Open to persons 18 years of age or older residing in the US. Associate members may participate in all club activities, receive copies of all club mailings, but may not vote, hold office or sponsor new members. At the end of one year, associate members have the option of re-applying for a regular membership.($40 / year)

Regular: Open to persons 18 years of age or older residing in the US who have attained one year of membership in good standing as an Associate member. Regular members have full privileges of voting, holding office and sponsoring new members. ($40 / year)

Household: Open to any two adults residing at the same address,18 years of age or older, and residing in the US. Household members are entitled to individual votes on Club matters, but shall receive only one copy of all TTCA mailings and Newsletters.( $55 / year)

Junior: Open to persons 10–18 years of age, residing in the US. Junior members may participate in all club activities, receive copies of all club mailings, but may not vote or hold office. ($20 / year)

Foreign: Open to persons 18 years of age or older residing outside of the US. Foreign members may not hold office, chair a committee, vote or sponsor new members. ($45 / year), US dollars.)

Steps to Membership

  1. Have two TTCA members, from different households, agree to sponsor your membership. Have them each fill out a Sponsor Statement and return a signed hard copy to you.
  2. Fill out an application.
  3. Sign and date a copy of the TTCA Guidelines for Responsible Breeders (included with the application.)
  4. Send the application form, two Sponsor Statements (also included with the application), signed copy of the TTCA Guidelines for Responsible Breeders, and a check for the appropriate amount made out to the TTCA to:

The Membership Chairperson will send you a short note indicating that we have received your membership packet, that everything is in order (or if not, what is missing).

Your name will be published in the next available Newsletter and members will be given a 15-day comment period. If no comments are received, your application will then be voted on by the TTCA Board of Directors. (This process can take about up to 90 days.)
